Center for Automotive Research announces new CEO

The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) has named Alan Amici as president/CEO following the retirement of CEO Carla Bailo after five years of leading the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based nonprofit.

Amici brings to the company more than 30 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and service roles at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and TE Connectivity. He is the owner of two patents and a recipient of the Walter P. Chrysler Technology Award. Amici holds an MBA, a master’s degree, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
