Richard V. Anderson, 82, longtime resident of Lake Nebagamon, WI died peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior. He was born in Superior, WI August 25, 1940, the son of Volmer and Marguerite (Ericson) Anderson.
Richard married the love of his life, Sandra Norman on August 7, 1959, and they recently celebrated sixty-three years of marriage before his passing.
He worked as an independent sheet metal worker and for Central Sheet Metal Works in Superior for many years.
Richard was a member of the House of Hope Church in Lake Nebagamon, the Lake Nebagamon Lions Club and was also a longtime member of the Local 10 Northern Minnesota/Wisconsin Sheet Metal Workers Union.
In his spare time, Richard loved fishing on Lake Superior and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packer fan. He was a devoted loving husband, a great dad and an incredible awesome grandfather who will be dearly missed by his loving family and lifelong friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra, Lake Nebagamon, WI; daughters, Cheryl Anderson, of AZ, and Monica (Brent) Lucus, Forest Lake, MN; son, Richard Anderson, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kasey) Brunner, of MO, Christina (Brock Strain) Brunner, Hudson, WI, Seth Anderson, of FL, Natalie Lucus and Derek Lucus, both of Forest Lake, MN; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Emma and Myla, all of MO; sister, Linda (Jim) Tisdell, New York Mills, MN; brothers, Tom Anderson, Bob (Barbara) Anderson, Keith (Debbie) Anderson, all of Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Jay Anderson, Hudson, WI, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2022, the House of Hope Church, 7184 S Church Road, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and will continue until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Chad Cracraft officiating. Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
