Byer’s Precision Fabricators has been named as a semi-finalist in the “Coolest Thing Made in NC” competition, which highlights manufacturing in North Carolina.
Anthony Byers, President of Byer’s Precision, described the announcement as an incredible honor.
“...Considering the tens of thousands of unique products made in North Carolina, for Byer’s Precision to be recognized for one of the 16 coolest things to be manufactured this year is a testament to the creativity and skill that our employees provide for our customers.”
Byer’s Precision, located in Hendersonville, was announced to the public as a semi-finalist on Sept. 8, along with 36 other semifinalists, for its Arras Hotel Architectural Panels located in Asheville, according to a news release.
Byer’s Precision Fabricators has a long history of taking on complex projects that require huge feats of engineering and fabrication precision, and this project was no exception, the release says.
When the Arras Hotel approached Byer’s with their vision for metal accents on a grand scale, the local company welcomed the challenge and got to work, creating window metal panels and a 6’ metal logo for the hotel.
The second round of voting for the competition has started and will continue through Sept. 16.
The top five businesses in each category will be announced on Sept. 22, when Byer’s may move on to the last round, and compete as a “Top 5” contender. The winner will be announced on Oct. 6.
The vote tally has been reset to level the field for all semifinalists. As in the first round, the community may still only vote once a day with a valid email address.
