The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) was founded in 1887, one of the first major unions in America. Today the IUPAT has over 140,000 members, men and women who enjoy a sense of belonging, earn a valuable wage, work in a safe environment, and are constantly improving their lives. They no longer go it alone. Rather, with strength and dignity that comes with numbers, they determine their own futures.
